After a two week break, the Sock Madness continues! The moderators needed some time off, and so did most of the knitters, presumably. But last Friday it finally arrived: the round 4 pattern! It’s called Sweet Nuttins, and the designer is Adrienne Fong. It’s a lacey pattern with beads, and it looks rather dreamy.
I’ve been knitting these socks over the last few days, and although I have been a bit less fanatical about finishing them quickly, I still managed to bind off the last toe this afternoon. I am even through to the next round, because I’m the 15th finisher in my team this time. In this round, a maximum of 20 people per team will move on. But it doesn’t really matter anymore, as I’m sure that I won’t make it through the next round. I have found a new job which will start next week, so I have a great reason not to spend a lot of time knitting!
I love all the tiny cables on these socks. I also love the way it looks with the beads. I’m not sure yet whether they won’t bother me when I’m wearing shoes, but I decided that I could always use a hammer to remove beads on the foot later, so I put them in. Here’s a picture of me wearing the socks so you can see what they look like from the front:
