Description
I wanted to create a simple waterfall style cardigan, and here it is!
This pattern is more like a recipe: I provide the steps to create the cardigan in your own size. The one I made fits me well (96 cm bust circumference).
Knitting Sága is not hard, you just need some patience because it is mainly stockinette stitch.
Before you start, you need to pick up your needles and yarn and make a swatch. Experiment a bit. It’s up to you to decide how airy or dense you would like your fabric to be.
Depending on your desired gauge you will cast on a number of stitches and start knitting. The cardigan is knitted top down. Try the cardigan on from time to time to make sure that the fit is perfect for your body!
There is no waist shaping in the cardigan, because the hanging front panels will add shape to how the cardigan drapes around your body.
I used 1500 m for making a size 42 (NL/DE) cardigan (size US12, UK14).
If you want to make the cardigan larger or longer, or if you want to create a less airy fabric, you will need more yarn.
This pattern has not been test knitted, so it’s free for now, and presented as-is. If you find any errors, please let me know.
