That’s what I would like to do. The sun was shining today, my husband was at home, and it felt like a holiday! So the theme for today’s painting was clear. I decided to paint this old boat lying on the beach. And I tried to keep areas unpainted to have better highlights.
As always, there are parts that I like and parts that I don’t like. The text on the boat did not work. I know, I need a thinner brush (or at least one with a fine point). I kind of like the clouds, but at one point I made the mistake of adding some light yellow to suggest sunlight. Did not work. And the blue sky at the right top is nice, but the white spots I left open for cloud edges don’t look like those and it seems that the blue is in front of the clouds… the shape of the boat is nice, though, and I like the colours. I also like the sea.
