During the last month, I’ve been busy working on my swap package for the newest swap of the NKS: the Time Machine Swap. Every participant had to decide on a historic age as a theme for their package. I myself chose the Time of the Great Discoveriew (aka the Renaissance), and my partner, Trude, chose the 1940s as her preferred age.
It was quite a hard swap this time. The package had to at least contain a handmade drawstring bag and a nice skein of yarn. I got Trude a quilted bag of leftover scraps of fabric, some nice KnitPicks yarn, some alpaca to spin and some small notions. She was very happy with it. After my package arrived, I realized that I would get a package too, and last Thursday it arrived. It was from Marisca, and she did really well – she made me a very pretty bag with peacocks on it, sent me beads as “spices” and a nice skein of Manos Silk Blend in a spicey colour.
