It has been over a month since my latest blog post. I have wanted to post something, but I wasn’t sure what to post. No finished crafting projects, no new music recordings to show. I didn’t go on photography walks, or paint anything. So, what have I been up to, then?
KITTENS, of course!
Puk and Pippi are the cutest, most adorable kitties EVER (okay, so were Freya and Fiona). It’s so lovely to have baby cats in the house again. They play a lot, and they snuggle up with you afterwards. It makes my heart melt. And they grow up really fast! They gained a pound each in three weeks. They got their shots, are perfectly healthy, and we love each other a lot.
Also, I have been knitting a little bit. I am knitting a simple asymmetrical triangular brioche shawl. It’s growing slower than the kittens, lol. I think I’m averaging under one knitted row a day. My spinning project has not left the suitcase for a long time. I’m not even sure what I was working on at this point.
I’ve also been playing the violin. I’m taking lessons again, and that’s going well. We’re working on the basic stuff (good posture, bow technique, etc) because that’s what I want to improve. It’s working and I love it.
At work, it’s busy too. I’m on-boarding a new colleague, and I also took a training course in e-learning. Interesting stuff! Need to spend lots more time on it, so hopefully I’ll be able to apply it at work soon.
There’s still a lot to do in the house. The renovation was completed only last week. My attic is still not done – it needs to be re-painted entirely. But we don’t really have the energy to do it right now. It will have to wait.
Anyway, that’s what I’m busy with. Being a good cat mum, knitting a bit, making some music, oh, and playing Stardew Valley. And yeah, work and household duties. Doesn’t sound that busy, but I’m close to burning out nonetheless. Especially because work is busy. And because my hormones are being annoying. But I’m relatively relaxed about it. Just bone tired.
