Spinning thinner yarns

Last week, I’ve tried to spin a fingering weight yarn with some nice Corriedale wool. First I spun it about half as thick as I normally would, adjusting the twist to avoid having it fall apart. Then, I navaho plied the yarn to a fingering weight 3-ply. I got almost 500 meters out of 124 grams of wool, which means that my single would have been almost 1500 meters…

Next, I will spin the second skein of this wool, and I will also try to spin a nice worsted weight to make the Pole cardigan… I got some yummy blue merino for that, and it would be great to be able to wear the cardigan this winter.
