I did it! My First Sock is finished! A couple of days of heavy knitting, looking at the pattern from time to time, to see how to proceed, and in the end it wasn’t really that difficult. Except that Freya wanted my yarn badly, and I couldn’t make myself a cup of tea without her running past with it…
Of course you now all want to see the result, well, here it is!
At the end I had to tink back quite a bit, because I lost a couple of stitches when I turned it inside out to cast off… very annoying. After an extra careful second attempt it was really finished. And it did even fit my foot!
The colour is a bit… well… boring, but that’s on purpose. I saved the nicer yarn for when I would be a bit better at knitting. It would be a shame if it didn’t work out, right? Now I’m working on the second sock, which should become the same, a new challenge!
